What Our Gearhead® Experts Are Saying: "I grab this jacket for big uphill days when weight and breathability really matter. It moves well while skinning, vents heat efficiently, and still feels dependable when the weather turns. The internal pockets are perfect for stashing skins before the descent." When the mission is all about earning turns, we rely on the High Exposure GORE-TEX C-Knit Jacket to keep us moving efficiently through the mountains. Designed by Mountain Hardwear for fast-paced alpine touring, this shell balances lightweight protection with the breathability needed for sustained climbs. The GORE-TEX C-KNIT construction delivers waterproof, windproof performance with a softer, more packable feel that’s ideal for long days in variable conditions. Recycled nylon ripstop adds abrasion resistance without unnecessary weight, while underarm zips dump heat when the skin track steepens. Oversized internal mesh pockets make transitions easy by holding climbing skins, and the helmet-compatible hood seals in protection when conditions get serious. From cold ascents to exposed ridgelines and fast descents, this jacket is built to stay comfortable through it all.
