What Our Gearhead® Experts Are Saying: "I use this hoodie constantly as both a midlayer and a standalone piece. It’s warm without feeling heavy, breathes well when I’m working hard, and stretches enough that I never feel restricted. The hood fits great under a shell, and the thumbholes are perfect for keeping sleeves in place on cold days." When our winter days demand adaptable layering, we reach for the Polartec Power Grid Full-Zip Hoodie from Mountain Hardwear. Built to transition seamlessly between midlayer duty and standalone wear, this fleece keeps us comfortable whether we’re skinning uphill, climbing in cold temps, or heading out for a crisp morning hike. The Polartec Power Grid fabric balances warmth and breathability, trapping heat while efficiently moving moisture away from the skin. Stretch panels enhance mobility during active movement, while the three-piece scuba hood provides close, comfortable coverage when the weather turns. Thoughtful details like thumbholes and secure zippered pockets round out a fleece that’s equally at home in the mountains or as an everyday cold-weather layer.
