In 2020, designer Maxwell Osborne, previously a co-creative director of DKNY, launched anOnlyChild, naming his label for the courage and resilience it evokes. Osborne, a decorated fashion prizewinner, was born and raised in New York City with Jamaican roots; he pays homage to his heritage in his colorful, relaxed womenswear line, solely using deadstock fabrics and fine silks, all woven together using ancient techniques.
