Step 1. Remove the protective Film.
Step 2. Disinfect the probe with isopropyl (rubbing) alcohol before use.
Step 3. When the display shows L with degrees F flashing, the device is ready to take a measurement. If L degrees F without degrees F is flashing after the measurement, the temperature is lower than the measuring range. Please re-take the measurement.
Step 4. Place the probe in the appropriate position and hold the thermometer in place during measurement.
Step 5. Once the degree sign degrees F stops flashing, the measurement is completed and the temperature is displayed. A beeping signal will sound for approximately 4 seconds then light up approximately for 4 seconds.
Step 6. Switch from Fahrenheit to Centigrade: After turning on the thermometer, the Centigrade or Fahrenheit mode can be switched within first 3 seconds by pressing and holding the ON/OFF button for 2 seconds.
Step 7. The device will automatically turn off after 3 minutes (approx.). To prolong battery life, please press the ON/OFF button to turn off once finishing the measurement.
