What Our Gearhead® Experts Are Saying:"I clipped the Daymaker Short Handle to my pack for a full day of wade fishing and barely noticed it until I needed it. The carbon frame kept it light on the move, and the two-piece breakdown made it easy to stow when I was scrambling through tight bankside brush."Wading anglers move constantly, and every piece of gear either earns its carry weight or gets left behind. The Simms Daymaker Boat Net Short Handle earns it. At 43 inches total, it is sized for the angler on foot, compact enough to clip to a pack or vest without throwing off your balance on uneven bottom but capable enough to handle a serious fish when the moment comes. Carbon composite construction keeps the frame rigid and buoyant, so a fumbled net stays fishable instead of sinking out of reach. The two-piece handle gives this net a versatility that single-piece designs cannot match. Break it down with the included hex wrench for clean stowage in a travel bag or rod case, or swap in the long handle accessory when the day calls for boat fishing instead. The UV stable coated mesh bag is fish-friendly throughout, protecting slime coats and fins so the release is as clean as the catch.
