The Ralph Lauren Boys Cotton Oxford Shirt in Green is a designer boys' shirt from Ralph Lauren Kids, featuring the brand's signature polo pony embroidery and finished in Cargo Green — a muted, earthy olive-green that sits firmly in the smart-casual wardrobe rather than the bright or primary-colour end of the spectrum. Available in sizes 8 Yrs through to 18–20 Yrs, this is the older boys' and teen version of the Cargo Green Oxford shirt, designed for boys who want a considered, fashion-aware shirt that works across occasions without looking like they're trying too hard.
The Cargo Green colourway is a strong choice for autumn and winter dressing — it has a heritage, outdoorsy feel that pairs naturally with navy, khaki, and camel tones. The polo pony embroidery is understated and adds brand recognition without dominating the shirt. Cotton construction keeps it comfortable for all-day wear. Also available in Ivory for a lighter, more occasion-focused colourway. Manufactured in China to Ralph Lauren's production standards.
Practical Buying Advice
Fit: Relaxed and comfortable — not slim or tailored. For older boys and teens who prefer a more fitted look, sizing down is worth considering. Check the size guide by chest and height for the most accurate fit, particularly at the teen end of the range where body proportions vary more.
Care: Machine-washable on a cool or warm cycle. Wash separately from lighter colours for the first few washes. Iron on a medium heat for a neat finish, or tumble dry on low and remove promptly. Always check the care label.
Teen styling: Older boys tend to wear Oxford shirts untucked with dark jeans or chinos and clean trainers for a relaxed, smart-casual look. Tucked in with chinos and loafers steps it up for smarter occasions. The Cargo Green colourway works particularly well with navy or khaki trousers.
Layering: Works well under a navy or camel knit jumper or crew-neck sweatshirt for cooler days — the collar sits neatly over knitwear for a classic layered look.
