When our day in the mountains involved burst of high output movement and then periods of waiting to do it again, we rock the Rab Xenair Alpine Light Jacket. This lightweight insulator layers well under a shell for winter missions thanks to the lofty Primaloft Gold Insulation Active+ and thrives as a standalone piece in the fall months due to the resilient Pertex Quantum Air nylon face fabric. Toss in how it considers nature with every seam, and boasts an under helmet hood that really fights off chill, and we have a jacket we can trust in the alpine.
