What Our Gearhead® Experts Are Saying: "I keep the Tikka Core in my pack at all times—it’s compact, bright, and reliable. The rechargeable battery is a huge win for multi-day trips, and I love that it can still take AAAs in a pinch. It’s lightweight enough for trail runs and durable enough for alpine overnights, making it the most versatile headlamp I own."Whether we’re packing up before sunrise or hiking out under the stars, the Petzl Tikka Core Headlamp delivers the dependable light we need to stay on track. Compact and efficient, it packs a 450-lumen beam into a lightweight housing that disappears once it’s strapped on. The detachable, washable headband keeps things comfortable through long nights, while the red-light mode preserves night vision when we’re setting up camp or checking maps.Designed with true adventure flexibility, the Tikka Core can run on its included rechargeable CORE battery or standard AAA batteries, making it a reliable companion for trips near and far. With an IPX4 waterproof rating, it’s unfazed by rain or morning dew, while multiple brightness levels adapt easily from tent lighting to trail illumination. When our plans stretch past daylight, this headlamp keeps us confidently moving forward.
