What Our Gearhead® Experts Are Saying:"I like these shorts for anything active in warm weather. They’re lightweight, stretchy, and tough enough for scrambling or hiking, and the integrated belt keeps the fit secure when I’m moving fast on the trail."When summer adventures call for lightweight performance and all-day comfort, we reach for the Outdoor Research Ferrosi 5in Short. Built with the same trusted Ferrosi fabric that climbers and hikers have relied on for years, this versatile short handles everything from steep scrambles to laid-back trail walks. The recycled nylon blend delivers breathable comfort with plenty of stretch for unrestricted movement, while maintaining the durability needed for rugged terrain. Wind- and water-resistant properties help shrug off changing conditions, and UPF 50+ protection shields us from harsh sun during long days outside. A newly updated, wider integrated belt ensures a secure and adjustable fit whether we’re hiking fast or climbing high. Lightweight, tough, and ready for any adventure, the Ferrosi Short is built for days that refuse to stay indoors.
