What Our Gearhead® Experts Are Saying:"I like the Affinity 42 because it handles sharp rock, heavy loads, and constant abuse without feeling bulky. The rope attachment is super clean, and the roll-top adds space fast when you need it."We reach for the Affinity 42 Daypack when the objective involves long approaches, big gear loads, and a full day moving between climbs. Its tough, padded construction shrugs off rough rock and grit, giving us a pack we don’t have to baby when dropping it at the base of a route. With top and back access, we can reach the main compartment quickly—roll-top expansion adds even more room when the day demands a bigger rack or layers.Four compression straps keep the load tight on uneven ascents, while the daisy chain and material loops offer plenty of attachment points for essentials we want close. A dedicated pocket organizes shoes, chalk, and crag staples, and the external rope fastening system lets us carry our line securely without losing interior space. Stable on the hike in and easy to manage on the ground, the Affinity 42 is built for climbers who want reliable structure and smart packing for every mission.
