What Our Gearhead® Experts Are Saying:“This thing is a beast in the best way. The big baffles pack serious warmth, but it’s the stretch that really surprised me. Whether I’m belaying or hiking in the cold, it moves with me and never feels bulky. It’s become my favorite jacket for winter travel and alpine basecamp life.”When temps drop and our adventures don’t slow down, the Stretchdown Big Baffle Jacket steps in with rugged warmth and stretch-built performance. Mountain Hardwear's unique stretch-woven fabric not only resists abrasion and tears. It moves with us through backcountry treks, cold belays, and alpine starts.Inside, 700-fill RDS-certified down traps serious heat without adding weight or restricting motion, while the big baffle construction keeps insulation evenly distributed, even after seasons of compressing and stuffing. Secure chest pockets keep maps and gloves close, while handwarmer pockets and adjustable cuffs and hem help seal out deep cold. Whether we’re breaking trail or wandering through town, it’s warmth we can trust.
