What Our Gearhead® Experts Are Saying:"The Kor AirShell Full-Zip Wind Jacket is the layer I forget I'm carrying until I need it, and then I'm really glad it's there. At under four ounces, the Pertex Quantum Air fabric cuts wind and sheds light moisture without trapping heat, which makes it genuinely useful on fast mountain runs and breezy trail days where a heavier shell would feel like too much. It stuffs into its own pocket in seconds and clips to the inside of my pack so it's always findable."The wind that hits the ridge before the summit is rarely the wind you dressed for at the trailhead. That gap in the forecast is exactly where the Mountain Hardwear Kor AirShell Full-Zip Wind Jacket earns its place in the pack. At just 3.9 ounces, Pertex Quantum Air fabric wraps around the body in a barely-there layer that cuts through alpine gusts, sheds light moisture, and breathes well enough that adding it mid-effort never means overheating.Raglan sleeves and underarm gussets keep the fit out of the way on technical terrain and fast-moving trail days, while elastic binding at the cuffs and hem locks in warmth when the temperature drops without the bulk of a heavier layer. YKK knit taped zippers stay light and pliable in cold conditions, and two zippered hand pockets handle the essentials without adding weight or profile. When conditions ease up, the whole jacket stuffs into its own internal pocket and clips to a pack via the carabiner loop, ready for the next time the mountain decides to change its mind.
