What Our Gearhead® Experts Are Saying:"I bring this jacket on nearly every trip because it weighs almost nothing yet warms up quickly during breaks. The 1000-fill down is incredibly efficient, and it compresses so small that it disappears in my pack. The fabric is delicate, so I keep it under a shell when moving through rough terrain, but for ounce-counters it’s tough to beat."We carry the Ghost Whisperer UL Jacket when our goal is to move fast, stay light, and keep every piece of gear purposeful. Whether we’re climbing toward an alpine ridge or stopping for a quick break on a long ascent, the 1000-fill down provides immediate warmth without slowing our pace. It layers cleanly over a baselayer and disappears under a shell when winds pick up or the trail steepens.Built around ultralight ripstop fabric, the Ghost Whisperer UL Jacket maintains durability while remaining exceptionally packable. The DWR treatment helps shed light snow and passing showers, giving us a bit of protection as we transition between layers or wait for visibility to improve. Elastic-bound cuffs and an adjustable hem seal in warmth, while the hood stays close and efficient in exposed terrain. When the day warms or the climb continues, the jacket packs into its own pocket with ease, ready for whatever comes next.
