What Our Gearhead® Experts Are Saying:"I pulled this on for a long desert hike and ended up wearing it the whole trip. It’s super light, breathes well when you’re working hard, and the UPF coverage makes a big difference when the sun is relentless. I also like the thumbholes for keeping sleeves in place when layering."Warm spring sunshine pulls us toward the trailhead, and the Crater Lake™ Long Sleeve Crew from Mountain Hardwear is the layer we grab when the day promises long miles under open sky. Whether we’re hiking above treeline, scrambling to a high boulder problem, or skinning up corn snow, this lightweight crew shields us from harsh rays without trapping heat. The breathable knit fabric wicks moisture as we move and dries quickly when the pace picks up. Raglan sleeves give us the reach we need for climbing and trekking, while low-profile thumbholes keep sleeves in place during high-output movement. With UPF 50 protection and an ultralight feel, it works just as well as a standalone sun layer as it does under insulation when the weather shifts.
