What Our Gearhead® Experts Are Saying:"I use this baselayer for ski tours and climbing days when I know I’ll heat up and cool down repeatedly. The Merino Flex fabric stretches more than most wool layers, so it moves easily under packs and harnesses. It regulates heat well, and the mock neck adds extra warmth without feeling bulky. It’s become one of my all-season go-tos."We reach for the Mons Royale Cascade Merino Flex 200 Mock-Neck Top whenever our cold-weather plans call for steady movement and reliable comfort. The Merino Flex blend keeps us warm on frosty mornings yet breathes well when the pace quickens, pulling moisture off our skin to maintain a steady temperature. That smooth mock-neck cut provides extra coverage without bunching under midlayers or shells. With its stretchy synthetic fibers and slim fit, this baselayer moves naturally as we skin uphill, climb technical routes, or lean into a day at the resort. Thumbholes keep sleeves anchored when layering, while merino’s natural odor resistance helps it stay fresh across multi-day missions. From early-season transitions to full-winter exertion, it’s a dependable piece that keeps our layering system dialed.
