What Our Gearhead® Experts Are Saying:"I wore the Allroad SL on a long mixed-surface bikepacking day that had everything from smooth gravel to steep rocky scrambles, and the carbon composite sole kept pedaling efficient without making the hike-a-bike sections feel punishing. The TPU lugs gave me real confidence on loose terrain off the bike, and the lace closure dialed in snugly without any pressure points developing over the course of a long day."The best gravel routes rarely stay on the map, and the Mavic Allroad SL Mountain Bike Shoe is built for the detours. When the fire road turns into a scramble and the scramble turns into a full push, this shoe keeps performing without skipping a beat in either direction.Mavic designed the Allroad SL around the realities of adventure riding, where the terrain demands efficiency on the pedals and confidence on foot in equal measure. The nylon carbon fiber composite sole delivers enough stiffness for powerful pedaling across long efforts while retaining the compliance needed for all-day comfort on rough surfaces. Grippy TPU lugs bite into loose dirt and rocky terrain when feet hit the ground, and a reinforced toe cap handles the rock strikes and trail debris that come with pushing into unfamiliar terrain. The durable synthetic leather upper resists abrasion across variable conditions and breathes well enough to keep feet comfortable through sustained efforts. A lace closure wraps the foot securely with a fit that stays dialed from the first pedal stroke to the last hike-a-bike of the day.
