What Our Gearhead® Experts Are Saying:"I’ve used these bibs on long spring tours, and the balance of waterproofing and breathability is dialed. The full-length vents dump heat fast on steep climbs, and the quarter bib cut keeps things lighter and more flexible. The material is surprisingly tough for how thin it feels, and the beacon pocket is well placed for quick access."We pull on the Solitude UL Bio 1/4 Bib Pant long before sunrise, when the bootpack is still frozen and the ridge ahead feels distant in the dark. Marmot’s ultralight bio-based ripstop and NanoPro waterproofing keep us dry as we skin into shifting temperatures, powder pockets, and gusty traverses. The quarter bib design gives us the mobility we need to chase early lines without the bulk of a full upper, making each stride and kick turn feel clean and free.As the day heats up, full-length two-way zippers turn the bibs into a high-output layer that breathes fast and cools even faster. The stretch waist panel moves with us as we navigate tight switchbacks or scramble onto a wind-scoured summit. RECCO reflectors and a dedicated beacon pocket keep our safety essentials close, while scuff guards, internal gaiters, and articulated knees prepare us for the inevitable transitions between skintrack, powder, and refrozen crust. Through long climbs and flowing descents, the Solitude UL Bio 1/4 Bib is built for big terrain and the unpredictable weather that comes with it.
