What Our Gearhead® Experts Are Saying:"I've been wearing the Malta GTX Mid Boot as my everyday shoe on days when I know I might sneak in a trail walk after work, and the GORE-TEX lining has kept my feet completely dry through wet morning commutes and surprise rain showers alike. The DynaPU midsole makes them comfortable enough to be on my feet all day without any of the stiffness you sometimes get from a more traditional hiking boot."Not every day fits neatly into a category. Sometimes the morning starts with a coffee run, the afternoon turns into a trail walk, and dinner is somewhere with actual ambiance. The LOWA Malta GTX Mid Boot was built for exactly that kind of day, blending the waterproof protection and lugged grip of a capable hiking boot with the low-profile styling of a sneaker you'd actually want to wear around town.A GORE-TEX lining keeps feet dry through puddles, wet trails, and whatever the weather decides to do between now and when you get home. The double injection DynaPU midsole layers a softer cushioning layer beneath a denser supportive one, so the boot flexes where you need it and holds firm where you don't. The LOWA CAMARA outsole grips across surfaces from cobblestone to packed dirt, and the women's specific last means the fit was designed around the actual shape of a woman's foot rather than scaled down from something else. Crafted in Slovakia, the Malta GTX Mid is the boot that makes the most of whatever the day decides to become.
