What Our Gearhead® Experts Are Saying:"I put the Fortux GTX Running Shoe through a long mountain run in mixed conditions and it held up through every mile of it. The rocker geometry creates a propulsive rolling sensation underfoot that takes real pressure off the legs late in a long effort, and the GORE-TEX Invisible Fit lining kept my feet dry through a stream crossing and a sustained rain section without adding any noticeable weight or bulk to the shoe."Distance trail running demands a shoe that performs as well at mile thirty as it does at mile one, and the Fortux GTX Running Shoe from LOWA was built to hold up that end of the bargain in any weather. Designed for long efforts on technical terrain, it brings GORE-TEX Invisible Fit waterproof protection and a rocker-shaped DYNEVA midsole together in a package light enough to forget and capable enough to trust. The rocker geometry creates a smooth, natural rolling motion through every footstrike that reduces fatigue and keeps turnover efficient deep into a long run. The jacquard woven microfiber upper is durable and flexible, built on a women's-specific last for a fit that holds through the miles without hotspots or pressure points. Speed laces get you in and out fast, and the LOWA TRAC® C outsole grips reliably on wet and dry trail surfaces alike.
