The
Lacoste Boys Colourblock Stripe T-Shirt in Navy is a short-sleeve T-shirt for boys aged 2 to 16 years. It sits in the T-Shirts category at Childsplay Clothing and is the only 100% cotton T-shirt in the Lacoste Kids boys’ range written today — distinct from the polyester-blend sport graphic T-shirt in the girls’ range, and from the polyester tracksuits and outerwear across the rest of the AW2026 collection.
The colourblock stripe design uses panels of contrasting colour at the collar, sleeve cuffs, or chest to create a graphic, sport-influenced detail on an otherwise plain navy base. This is a different design approach from a fully colourblocked garment (where the entire body is divided into colour panels) or a printed stripe (where the stripe is applied on top of the fabric): the colourblock stripe is a structural design detail that uses the fabric construction or panel seaming to create the stripe effect, which means it doesn’t fade or crack with washing in the way a printed stripe would. The navy base is the most practical colour choice for a boys’ everyday T-shirt — it coordinates with almost any combination of bottoms and outerwear, holds its colour well through repeated washing when cared for correctly, and reads as considered without requiring a specific outfit to be built around it. The Lacoste crocodile logo adds brand recognition without dominating the design. This is a designer boys’ T-shirt built for regular everyday wear across a wide age range, made in Sri Lanka.
Buying Advice
100% cotton vs cotton-polyester blend: This T-shirt is 100% cotton, which makes it softer against the skin and more breathable than a cotton-polyester blend — a relevant consideration for boys who are active or who have sensitive skin. Pure cotton does absorb moisture rather than wicking it away, so for high-intensity sport a performance fabric would be more appropriate; for everyday wear, school, and casual activity, 100% cotton is the more comfortable choice.
Colour care: Navy cotton can fade over time if washed at high temperatures or with harsh detergents. Wash inside out at 30°C on a gentle cycle to preserve the colour depth. Avoid washing with white or very light garments. Do not tumble dry on high heat. Always follow the care label on the garment.
Layering: The short-sleeve cut makes this T-shirt a natural base layer for the AW2026 season — worn under an open-zip hoodie, sweatshirt, or jacket on cooler days, or on its own indoors and during mild autumn weather. The colourblock stripe detail at the collar or cuffs remains visible when worn under an open outer layer, which keeps the layered look deliberate.
