What Our Gearhead® Experts Are Saying:"I brought the Timeout 6P Tent on a family camping trip where the rain showed up and never really left, and the waterproof fly with its pre-attached guylines kept the inside completely livable through three nights of heavy weather. The D-door is wide enough that getting in and out with sleeping kids and gear bags never turned into a production, and standing headroom in the center made the whole tent feel much more like a real camp than just a place to sleep."The campsite is claimed, the cooler is stocked, and the only thing left to do is get everyone inside before the clouds decide to do something about it. The Kelty Timeout 6P Tent was built for exactly the kind of camping where comfort is the whole point, giving a six-person crew the headroom, floor space, and weather protection to settle in and stay a while without spending half the afternoon struggling with the setup.Three fiberglass poles follow an intuitive X design that goes up quickly and holds its shape through windy conditions when the guylines are out. The waterproof 68D polyester fly with 1200mm coating handles sustained rain without leaking, and fully seam-taped construction closes off any remaining gaps. A large D-door makes getting in and out with kids, gear, and groceries straightforward, and the No-See-Um mesh canopy keeps the interior breathable on warm nights while keeping bugs exactly where they belong. Internal storage pockets and a ceiling loop for a lantern take care of the organizational details that make a big tent feel like a real base of operations, and the Shark Mouth carry duffle makes pack-up fast enough that breaking camp doesn't ruin the mood of a good trip.
