What Our Gearhead® Experts Are Saying:"This is one of the best-fitting merino base layers I’ve worn. It’s warm, super soft, and doesn’t stretch out after a long ski day. The half-zip is a game-changer for regulating heat during uphill efforts, and it looks sharp enough to wear straight to après. I’d recommend sizing up if you’re between sizes—it’s definitely a snug fit by design."The Kari Traa Rose Half-Zip Top blends technical performance with standout design, making it a staple we return to season after season. Built for long days in the mountains or cozy nights by the fire, this base layer features 100% merino wool for warmth that naturally wicks moisture, resists odor, and insulates even when wet.The slim fit and stretchy knit deliver a body-hugging feel that moves with us through mogul runs or trail hikes, while flatlock seams reduce chafing under outer layers. A half-zip at the neck gives us quick ventilation when we’re working hard, and the classic Nordic-inspired pattern transitions seamlessly from basecamp to brunch. Whether we’re layering for resort laps or chasing fresh turns in the backcountry, the Rose is always in rotation.
