What Our Gearhead® Experts Are Saying:"I packed the Perenne for a spring ski trip and ended up wearing it under my shell all week without thinking twice about it. The wool blend keeps it from feeling clammy when the effort picks up, and the Polygiene finish meant I could go multiple days without it needing a wash, which is exactly what you want when you are living out of one bag."The best baselayers are the ones that stop feeling like a technical decision and just become part of how you get dressed. The Cotopaxi Perenne Long-Sleeve Shirt earns that status quickly. The recycled polyester and wool blend hits a balance that purely synthetic fabrics rarely achieve, staying breathable and comfortable across a wide range of temperatures and activity levels. It is equally at home under a shell on a cold morning skin track as it is worn on its own for a fall trail run or tucked into pants for dinner in a mountain town. The wool content naturally regulates temperature and resists odor between washes, and the Polygiene anti-odor finish adds another layer of freshness for multi-day trips where laundry is not an option. A flat braided hem drawcord with a screenprinted llama and a woven llama label at the seam bring in those small Cotopaxi details that make the piece feel finished and considered. Simple, versatile, and built to last across seasons, the Perenne is the kind of shirt that earns a permanent spot in the pack.
