What Our Gearhead® Experts Are Saying:"I have been wearing the Pacaya 2.0 as my go-to layer on shoulder season hikes where the temperature swings are unpredictable, and I need something that breathes going uphill but actually keeps me warm when I stop. The stretch panels through the sides and sleeves make a real difference on technical terrain, and the whole jacket stuffs into its own pocket cleanly when the sun comes out."There is a temperature range that most jackets either over- or underserve, and the Cotopaxi Pacaya 2.0 Insulated Jacket was built to own it. Cool enough to need insulation but active enough to generate heat on the go, this is the layer that bridges the gap between a fleece and a full winter jacket without compromise. Whether the day starts with a skin track, a ridgeline hike, or a brisk walk through a mountain town, the Pacaya 2.0 keeps things comfortable from start to finish. The recycled wool blend insulation from Imbotex Millefiori does something most synthetic fills cannot, actively regulates temperature, so you stay warm when you slow down and breathe when the effort climbs. Stretch panels along the side seams and through the sleeves give the jacket the range of motion needed for dynamic movement, while the lightweight recycled nylon shell sheds light wind and moisture without weighing things down. Two zippered hand pockets handle the everyday carry, an adjustable hem seals in warmth when conditions shift, and the whole jacket packs into its own interior chest pocket when the trail warms up. Built without intentionally added PFAS chemicals and made from recycled materials throughout, the Pacaya 2.0 is as thoughtfully constructed as it is genuinely useful.
