What Our Gearhead® Experts Are Saying:"I keep the Paracutie II folded in my bag for exactly the kind of day where the forecast can't make up its mind. It's stopped a passing drizzle from ruining a picnic more than once, and the back venting kept me from overheating the second the sun came back out."Some days refuse to settle on one kind of weather, sun one minute and a stray sprinkle the next, and the Paracutie II Windbreaker from Columbia is built for exactly that kind of uncertainty. It folds down small enough to live in a bag without ever feeling like extra weight, ready the second the wind shifts.Omni-Shield keeps moisture from soaking in, so a passing drizzle beads up and rolls off instead of settling into the fabric, while back venting lets heat escape the moment the sun returns. The hood stows into the collar when it's not needed and pulls out with a drawcord adjustment when it is, and snap-closure hand pockets keep small items secure through it all.
