What Our Gearhead® Experts Are Saying:"I grabbed the Columbia Hikebound II Jacket for my toddler before a week of hiking in the Cascades, and it handled every wet day the mountains threw at us without a single complaint from the small human wearing it. The fully seam-sealed Omni-Tech construction kept her genuinely dry through hours of steady rain, and the zippered hand pockets became her favorite place to store every interesting rock she picked up along the way."Rainy days and toddlers have one thing in common: they rarely follow the plan. The Columbia Hikebound II Jacket is built to keep up with both, wrapping little adventurers in fully seam-sealed waterproof breathable protection that handles whatever the trail and the weather decide to do at the same time. Columbia designed this jacket so that a gray sky is never a reason to cut a family hike short. The Omni-Tech fully seam-sealed construction blocks moisture from working its way through every seam and stitch, so the inside stays completely dry even during a sustained downpour. The 2-layer shell and mesh lining work together to keep things breathable and comfortable when little legs are moving fast on the trail, and the attached adjustable hood with partial elastic fits securely over small heads without requiring constant adjustment. Partial elastic cuffs seal out water at the wrists, zippered hand pockets provide secure storage for trail treasures and small essentials, and reflective details add visibility when the storm clouds drop the light on a dark afternoon.
