ABOUT THE FRAGRANCE:
On May 5, 1921, Gabrielle Chanel introduced the world to a "woman's perfume, with a woman's scent." Perfumer Ernest Beaux presented her with a visionary expression that made unprecedented use of aldehydes. Mademoiselle chose the fifth sample and decided to call it N°5. The innovative composition, along with the rare austerity of the name and flacon, revolutionized the history of fragrance.
In 1986, Jacques Polge reinterpreted his predecessor's work to imagine a fuller version of the now and forever scent: the Eau de Parfum. The Eau de Parfum draws inspiration from N°5 Extrait de Parfum, which shares the same abstract floral bouquet composed around rose, jasmine and ylang-ylang. Aldehydes create a unique presence, while ambery vanilla notes yield an incredibly sensual sillage.
HOW TO USE IT:
To refill, twist open to expose the atomizer. Pull up on the atomizer to remove the empty fragrance canister and replace it with a new one. Gently press the canister into the case and twist down the top to close.
