Make your stargazing experience exceptional with the high-quality CGEM II 925 EdgeHD 9.25" Schmidt-Cassegrain Telescope. This advanced telescope combines Celestron's redesigned CGEM II computerized equatorial mount with the acclaimed EdgeHD optical system, offering a superior viewing experience for astronomy enthusiasts. With a large aperture of over 9 inches, this durable telescope gathers over 1000 times more light than the naked eye, producing brighter and clearer images of celestial objects. The EdgeHD optical system is an innovative, aplanatic, flat field Schmidt-Cassegrain design that delivers aberration-free images across a wide visual and photographic field of view. The telescope's optical system is designed to reduce more than just off-axis star coma it also provides an astrograph-quality flat focal plane all the way to the edge of the field of view. This ensures sharp, detailed images across some of the largest CCD chips available today, making it a premier choice for astroimaging. The CGEM II 925 EdgeHD is equipped with Celestron's StarBright XLT optical coatings on every surface, maximizing light throughput across the widest visual and photographic spectrum. This, combined with superior edge performance, not only creates rounder, more pleasing stars but also improves resolution and limiting magnitude when compared to telescopes of equal aperture. The sturdy telescope tube has been redesigned with mirror clutches and tube vents to ensure optimal performance. The mirror clutches hold the mirror in place and reduce image shift during long exposure astro-images, while the tube vents allow hot air to be released from behind the primary mirror, preventing dust from entering. The CGEM II 925 EdgeHD is also Fastar-compatible, allowing the secondary mirror to be removed and replaced with a third-party lens accessory for ultra-fast f/2 wide field imaging. This makes it one of the most versatile imaging telescopes available today. The CGEM II mount is capable of carrying Celestron's higher-end SCT optical tubes securely and vibration-free, making it ideal for both imaging and visual observing. With a payload capacity of 40 lbs and slewing at 51/2 per second, you can instantly point to any celestial object in the database. The mount features Celestron's innovative All-Star Polar alignment procedure and Permanent Periodic Error Correction (PEC), enhancing the user experience for astroimagers. The CGEM II mount also has a robust database with over 40,000 objects, 100 user-defined programmable objects, and enhanced information on over 200 objects. With its ergonomic design, innovative features, and high-quality optics, the CGEM II 925 EdgeHD 9.25" Schmidt-Cassegrain Telescope offers a superior stargazing experience, making it a top choice for astronomy enthusiasts and astroimagers alike..
