When you're seeking a high-quality, mid-level telescope that offers advanced features at a reasonable price, the Advanced VX 8" Newtonian Telescope WiFi Kit with Skyportal Wifi Module is an ideal choice. This exceptional telescope is designed to grow with you, making it an excellent entry to mid-level setup for both beginners and experienced users. The Newtonian optical design of this telescope is particularly suited for visual observing, offering the largest aperture for the price. Its parabolic primary mirror minimizes spherical aberration, producing a sharper image near the edge of the field of view. The 8" Newtonian optical tube provides a remarkable 78% more light gathering ability than a 6" Newtonian optical tube, ensuring brighter, clearer images of celestial bodies. The Advanced VX mount is engineered to deliver superior performance for smaller telescopes, incorporating Celestron's most advanced technologies. These include All-Star Polar Alignment, Celestron PWI telescope control software, SkyAlign, and permanently programmable periodic error correction (PPEC). Whether you're an experienced imager seeking a portable mount for dark sky sites or a beginner in imaging, the Advanced VX will meet your needs for years to come. Its computerized German equatorial mount is the smallest of Celestron's German equatorial mounts, featuring GoTo capability that automatically tracks objects as they traverse the night sky. The Advanced VX mount is equipped with ports for a hand control, an autoguider, and 2 AUX ports for optional accessories. The NexStar+ hand control offers instant access to all the functions your mount has to offer, with automatic slewing and menu descriptions that make mastering this mount a breeze, regardless of your level of experience. The Advanced VX also boasts a robust tripod with 2" diameter steel tripod legs, providing an extra-wide stance for improved stability. With a payload capacity of 30 lbs, it offers a sturdy platform for any of the Advanced VX optical tubes, even when paired with optional accessories like StarSense AutoAlign, Focus Motor, a finderscope, and a camera. As of early 2019, Advanced VX mounts now include a new dual saddle plate that accommodates both CG-5 and CGE-style dovetail, allowing you to use an Advanced VX mount with virtually any optical tube within its weight limit. The Advanced VX 8" Newtonian Telescope WiFi Kit also includes Celestron PWI (CPWI), the most advanced astronomy software suite provided with any consumer-grade telescope. Developed in collaboration with the engineers at PlaneWave Instruments, CPWI offers an all-in-one solution with many of the same features used on PlaneWave's observatory-class telescopes. In addition, your purchase includes a free download of Celestron's Starry Night Special Edition Software by Simulation Curriculum. This advanced software provides detailed information about celestial objects and helps you plan your next observing or imaging session. It also allows you to control your telescope via computer, adding another layer of convenience and functionality to your astronomy experience..
