What Our Gearhead® Experts Are Saying: "I’ve worn the Recon LT on everything from powder days to skintrack missions, and the balance of stretch and weather protection is spot on. It moves with me on the climb, breathes well when I’m working hard, and then locks out the wind and snow on the descent. It’s one of my go-to shells when versatility is the priority."When we’re chasing storm cycles or earning turns under bluebird skies, the Black Diamond Recon LT Stretch Shell keeps us ready for anything. Black Diamond designed this shell with their BD.dry waterproof and breathable membrane, so we can charge through blizzards or skin under the sun without worrying about comfort. Its four-way stretch construction gives us the freedom to move naturally, whether we’re laying tracks on a steep couloir or reaching for gear in a mid-mountain transition. We love how this jacket balances performance-driven features with lightweight packability. Fully sealed seams and DWR-coated zippers block out wet snow, while underarm vents dump excess heat on the uphill. Pockets inside and out keep our skins, pass, and essentials within reach, and the helmet-compatible hood seals out swirling wind. From big backcountry days to inbounds laps, the Recon LT Stretch Shell proves itself as a versatile companion for every winter pursuit.
