What Our Gearhead® Experts Are Saying: "This is the midlayer I grab when I want insulation without feeling restricted. The stretch is noticeable the moment you move, and the stitch-free baffles eliminate cold spots. It’s warm for how light it is, packs down easily, and works just as well on the mountain as it does around town." We built the Peale Primaloft Stitch-Free Baffle Stretch Jacket to be the layer we never leave behind. Backcountry designed this piece for constant movement, whether we’re heading uphill, navigating travel days, or stepping out into cold evenings when a lightweight but reliable layer makes all the difference. It feels barely there but delivers warmth that punches well above its weight. The stitch-free baffle construction pairs with Primaloft Silver Thermoplume insulation to create even, lofty warmth without unnecessary bulk. A durable stretch fabric moves naturally with us, while the mock neck, elastic cuffs, and hem help seal in heat when temperatures drop. With a packable design that stuffs into its own pocket and plenty of storage for essentials, this jacket earns its place as a go-to insulating layer for everyday adventures.
