Like with their bibbed brethren, Mille GT Half Short brings us a redesigned insert and graphics in the same quality fit we love from Assos. Like its predecessor, the Mille GT is the workhorse short from Assos, built for riding, training, and racing. The Type.429 material, a durable fabric whose properties are a study in apparent contradictions, is another element of the Mille GT that has enjoyed flattering imitation. It combines a low-volume with moderately compressive supportive to keep both weight and muscle fatigue to a minimum. It also enjoys the durability of a ripstop material but with breathability, moisture management, and a comfortable touch that belies its hard-wearing nature. Those already converted to Assos shorts’ comfort will notice a new colorway to their proven chamois construction. The change in color, from the amethyst purple to this basalt black, is an easy way to identify the latest insert. The Mille S7 EVO features the same 8mm thick memory foam with a 3D waffle upper, which increases airflow. The all-new kraterCooler system furthers ventilation through the short, with small perforations in the front of the insert to draw air through the foam. Like the previous S7 insert, the Mille S7 EVO also has Assos’ patented goldenGate construction, which interrupts the stitching along both of the chamois' side panels, allowing a greater freedom of movement in this sensitive, rotational area. To reduce friction even further, Assos extends the chamois' thinly-padded sides over this short-to-chamois junction, making the transition against your skin as smooth as possible. •Cycling shorts for endurance rides and long training days •More forgiving waist fit adds comfort to performance •Gently compressive Lycra for confident support and stretch •AEPD fit wraps muscles rather than formlessly stretching •Redesigned chamois adds cushion without undue bulk •Elastic leg cuffs ensure fit without pinching •Assos has long been the leader in cycling clothing innovation
