What Our Gearhead® Experts Are Saying:"Olympus 6 Hike Low GTX takes on muddy mountain trails, downpours, and marathon hikes. I love the room in the FootShape toe box—it gives my feet freedom while the Vibram Megagrip outsole keeps me glued to slick rocks. The GORE-TEX lining sheds deep puddles and the plush cushioning means I finish long treks with happy knees. It’s my pick for comfort and all-conditions grip, no matter how gnarly the route gets."For canyon scrambles and alpine miles alike, we turn to the Olympus 6 Hike Low GTX for dependable all-day performance and weatherproof trail resilience. Altra delivers its signature FootShape comfort with a supremely wide and roomy toe box, making high-mileage days more enjoyable from first step to last. The robust, leather-and-GORE-TEX upper shrugs off wet brush and surprise showers, so we never need to call it quits early. While the supportive collar locks in a stable fit even on tilted terrain, it’s the plush compression-molded EVA midsole and max cushioning that cushion joints even under a heavy pack. Underfoot, Vibram Megagrip confidently bites into loose scree and slick stone, keeping us surefooted wherever the trail leads. With the Olympus 6 Hike Low GTX, adventure never stops when the clouds roll in.
