The adidas Taekwondo sneaker might feel new, but like so many of adidas’ trending profiles, the Taekwondo sneaker draws inspiration from the archives. The original Taekwondo was created to meet the demands of martial arts: it embodies the well-being and inner balance mentality with its ultra-low profile and light comfort. The original adidas Taekwondo sneaker famously has a lace-free look and is defined by the cover on the tongue. Still today, the “slip-on” shoe has all the martial arts DNA of adi, with 3D quilting on the toe, and the 3-Stripes on the side wall.
