The New Balance Youth 9060 revamps classic 99X series elements with a Y2K-inspired, futuristic twist. Expanded sway bars from the 990 create visible motion across the upper, while wavy lines and enlarged proportions on the sculpted pod midsole highlight the ABZORB and SBS cushioning. The ABZORB midsole absorbs impact through cushioning and compression resistance, and a dual-density midsole features both ABZORB and SBS cushioning. The tongue sports a logo inspired by the original 991 lace jewel, and a translucent CR device is placed at the heel. The outsole pattern is reminiscent of the classic 860 design.
