The 4.0, 4.5 and 5.0 Mag Lip is a unique plug set designed to catch large fish like Lake Trout and Salmon, with the 4.0 size suitable for trophy-size walleye and steelhead too. Mag Lip can be forward trolled in lakes or fished in rivers via trolling, still-fishing or back-trolling. Mag Lip is distinctive due to its ability to dive extra-deep while yielding an erratic, darting skip-beat action that produces savage strikes from fish. The unique skip-beat action produced by Mag Lip teases fish into striking similar to how a house cat pounces when coaxed with a ball & string. Many guides and anglers report a higher hook-to-land ratio when using Mag Lip as compared to other plug types and credit the savage strikes and better hook-to-land ratio to the unique action produced by this lure.divers to this bad boy either, this Mag Lip can reach depths of up to 16 feet all on his lonesome. Mag Lip 4.0 is rigged from the factory with treble hooks (Size #2 round-bend trebles) but works with singles too! Mag Lip 4.0 swims correctly when rigged with size 1/0-2/0 (2/0 on tail) siwash style single hook. For two singles, its recommend that you rig the belly single hook (point down) off two (2) split-rings, and the trailing single (point up) off double split-rings. Mag Lip 4.0 will perform with one 2/0 or 3/0 size single hook attached to the tail of the lure, however, to maintain proper balance and speed tolerance, rig two (2) split rings on belly hanger. 4" Long Dives up to 18' Hot colors to choose from Designed for Salmon and Steelhead, Walleye and even popular with Lake Trout Strike producing a "skip-beat" action Side grooves hold bait wrap thread
