A collapsible frame changes what a laundry sorter can be. Most three-section hampers are permanent furniture, taking their floor whether they are needed or not. This one folds flat when it is empty, which means it can live behind a door between washes, come out only on laundry day, or travel to a holiday rental without taking a suitcase. Three sections means darks, lights, and delicates get separated as the clothes come off rather than being sorted on a floor later. Total capacity is 35.7 Gal across a frame 27.6 in long by 15.7 in wide and 26 in tall, which is a household's worth between washes. The fabric is 600D oxford on a steel X-frame. That denier weight is what stops the sides sagging as the sections fill, and the X-frame is what allows the whole thing to collapse while still standing rigid when open. Static load capacity is 44 lb. At 4 lb the entire sorter weighs less than a full section of wet towels, which is what makes a folding design genuinely practical rather than a compromise.
