Dario Vitale’s long-awaited debut for the house was; as those in the front row put it; “pretty major. The new creative director (an alum of Bottega Veneta and Miu Miu) reinvigorates house signatures with a fresh; Western-inflected edge. Equal parts fun and sexy; hardy leather layers; fabulous party skirts; and signature cocktail dresses are made with the tried and true Versace girl in mind. This silk mini dress features a broken jewels print and is designed with fluid draping gathered through the front. The lightweight silk construction keeps the design fluid while the motif gives it an ornamental edge that is balanced by dainty knotted bow details on both shoulders.
