What Our Gearhead® Experts Are Saying:"I’ve used this shoe for everything from wet shoulder-season hikes to daily miles around town, and it’s one of those dependable pairs I keep reaching for. The DryVent waterproofing actually holds up through puddles and slush, while the cushioning stays comfortable on longer walks. It feels more supportive than a running shoe but lighter and more flexible than a full boot."We lace up the Ultra 112 WP Shoe when we want one pair that can handle a little bit of everything. Built by The North Face for mixed terrain days, it’s the kind of shoe that transitions easily from damp trails to everyday errands without feeling out of place. Lightweight and comfortable out of the box, it keeps our feet moving confidently whether we’re logging miles on a local loop or exploring new paths.Underfoot, the Ultra 112 WP Shoe balances comfort and protection with an EVA midsole that absorbs impact and a reinforced heel cradle that adds stability. The waterproof DryVent membrane seals out moisture when conditions turn sloppy, while the Surface CTRL rubber outsole and 5mm lugs bite into dirt, gravel, and wet ground. It’s a versatile option for hikers and trail runners who want waterproof performance without the bulk of a boot.
