What Our Gearhead® Experts Are Saying:"This jacket really impressed me as a daily driver for shoulder season hikes. It cuts wind, has just the right amount of stretch, and layers well under a shell or over a baselayer. I especially love how the wrap-around back panel feels under a pack—no bunching or pressure points."For high-output hiking missions, blustery mornings at camp, or just a brisk walk through the neighborhood, we count on the versatile protection of the Tek Approach Jacket. The North Face packed this midweight piece with breathable wind resistance and movement-friendly comfort, making it ideal for a wide range of outdoor pursuits.Built from WINDWALL fleece with a touch of elastane, the Tek Approach offers wind-blocking performance with active stretch. A non-PFC DWR finish sheds light precipitation, while FlashDry fabric panels enhance moisture management where we sweat most, like the collar and sleeve pocket. We appreciate thoughtful trail details like a drop hem for pack compatibility, mesh-lined pockets, and an easy-to-adjust drawcord at the hem.
