What Our Gearhead® Experts Are Saying:"I took these out on a few fast trail runs with rocky climbs and loose descents, and they feel incredibly responsive underfoot. The carbon plate adds a noticeable propulsive feel without making the shoe too stiff on uneven terrain. They’re light, breathable, and feel really locked in when moving quickly through technical sections."When race pace meets rugged terrain, we want footwear that feels fast without sacrificing control. The Summit VECTIV Sky Trail Running Shoe is built for those moments when the trail turns steep, rocky, and technical, but the pace stays high. The North Face designed it for demanding trail races and fast mountain runs where lightweight agility and stability both matter. The VECTIV™ 2.0 rockered midsole pairs high-rebound foam with a carbon-fiber plate to create a propulsive ride that keeps our stride efficient over long miles. A Pebax® insert in the forefoot boosts responsiveness for quick toe-offs, while the precision-fit last provides a secure feel on technical terrain. Beneath it all, a SURFACE CTRL™ rubber outsole with 3.5mm lugs grips confidently across loose dirt, wet rock, and rugged singletrack.
