What Our Gearhead® Experts Are Saying: "This shell is purpose-built for alpine missions. FUTURELIGHT breathes even under a pack, and the articulated fit plus stretch underarms let me move freely on the wall. Everything is pack and harness compatible—it’s the kind of layer you forget you’re wearing, in the best way." When the weather is wild and the route gets technical, we count on the Summit Torre Egger FUTURELIGHT Jacket from The North Face to deliver breathable protection without slowing us down. This elite shell, part of the Summit Series, is designed for high-alpine ascents and built with fully recycled 3L FUTURELIGHT™ fabric for full waterproofing and next-level airflow.Every seam, zipper, and panel on this jacket is engineered for serious objectives. An articulated pattern allows for unrestricted movement, while gusseted underarms, no-shoulder seams, and stretch panels keep comfort high through every crux and rappel. A helmet-compatible hood, harness-friendly pockets, and streamlined YKK® AquaGuard® zips round out the technical details that make this jacket a no-compromise choice for climbers chasing vertical dreams.
