What Our Gearhead® Experts Are Saying: "I’ve put the Offtrail Hike GORE-TEX through its paces on wet alpine approaches and rocky scrambles. It holds up beautifully—super sturdy, fully waterproof, and the lacing locks your foot in place. The outsole traction is especially solid on steep, loose terrain." When the weather is unpredictable and the trail gets rough, we rely on The North Face Offtrail Hike GORE-TEX Shoe to keep every step protected and secure. This technical hiking shoe is built to handle demanding terrain with a PFAS-free GORE-TEX® waterproof membrane that blocks out moisture without overheating your feet.Reinforced with a Cordura® overlasted forefoot and ballistic-rubber toe cap, it shrugs off scrapes, bumps, and abrasion on rocky approaches. The padded collar and heel cup combine with an adjustable ghillie lacing system to create a locked-in feel that stays comfortable all day. And when the route turns steep and slick, the SURFACE CTRL™ rubber outsole—with 5mm lugs and wraparound heel and forefoot rubber—bites in for confident traction. From multi-day treks to spontaneous backcountry missions, these shoes are ready for it all.
