The North Face Kids Glacier 1/4 Zip Pullover in Black is a fleece mid-layer that's been a staple in The North Face range for good reason — it's warm, lightweight, easy to care for and works across a wide range of activities and settings. The 1/4 zip design makes it easy to pull on and regulate temperature, and the plain black colourway keeps it versatile enough to wear with almost anything.
Available in sizes 6 to 20 years (including 14–16 and 18–20 for older teens), this is one of the few kids' fleece pullovers that genuinely covers the full school-age range. Suitable for boys and girls, it sits in the Activewear and Athleisure categories but works just as well as an everyday layer for school, travel or outdoor activities.
The North Face is a well-established outdoor and activewear brand with a strong following across all age groups. The Glacier fleece is one of their most recognisable and consistently popular styles — a practical, no-fuss layer that holds up well to regular wear and washing.
Fit: Sized by age (6, 7–8, 10, 12, 14–16, 18–20 Years). The Glacier fleece has a relaxed fit — if your child is between sizes or you want extra room for layering underneath, sizing up is a good option. Check the size guide for chest measurements.
Layering: The 1/4 zip and fleece construction make this ideal as a mid-layer under a waterproof or shell jacket for outdoor activities, or as a standalone top for milder days. It's lightweight enough not to add bulk under an outer layer.
Gender: Suitable for boys and girls — the plain black colourway and relaxed fit work well across genders.
Styling: Works with jeans, joggers, leggings and school trousers. The black colourway pairs with everything. Smart enough for school non-uniform days, practical enough for outdoor activities and weekend wear.
Care: Machine washable — fleece is easy to care for. Wash on a cool cycle and avoid fabric softener, which can reduce the fleece's insulating properties over time. Tumble dry on low or air dry.
