What Our Gearhead® Experts Are Saying: "These are the mitts I grab when conditions are rough and I still want to get my training in. The split-finger design keeps my hands warmer than gloves, but I still get the dexterity I need to work my poles. The waterproof membrane and PrimaLoft insulation mean I stay warm and dry even in wet snow, and the Amara palm feels solid and durable." When the winter forecast calls for wind, snow, and cold, we reach for the Swix Shield Pro Split Mitten. Swix built these mitts to thrive in tough conditions, giving us the warmth of mittens with the control of a glove. Thanks to the split-finger design, we keep dexterity for pole plants and grip, while the rest of our fingers stay bundled together for reliable warmth.Chopped PrimaLoft insulation lines both the palm and upper, offering warmth that breathes as we push through long training sessions. A waterproof membrane blocks moisture, while the suede upper and lycra finger walls flex comfortably with every stride. Reinforced Amara palms with digitized pads provide a secure grip and absorb shock, and Swix’s unique gusseted thumb adds flexibility where we need it most. For high-output skiing in challenging conditions, these mitts are a reliable partner.
