What Our Gearhead® Experts Are Saying:"I reach for these when I need a short that moves as well as it breathes. The stretch feels natural on climbs, and the contoured waist keeps everything in place when I’m shifting around on technical terrain. The thigh pocket is super handy for quick-access items without feeling bulky while pedaling."We head into warm, winding singletrack wanting gear that disappears into the ride, and the Stio OPR 9in Short fits seamlessly into that rhythm. The lightweight doubleweave fabric balances breathability with durability, giving us a short that can handle dusty climbs, fast descents, and the inevitable snack stop in town. With the brand’s thoughtful fit and articulated shaping, it feels dialed the moment we start turning pedals. In the second mile of a climb, ventilation becomes everything, and the OPR 9in Short leans into that need. Stio’s updated fabric brings four-way stretch for fluid motion, while perforated panels at the waistband and pockets pull in airflow right where it’s needed. A bonded hem keeps weight down, the integrated belt fine-tunes fit, and the water-repellent finish shrugs off trail spray so we stay focused on the ride ahead.
