It's time to elevate your photography and videography with the FE 20-70mm f/4 G Lens for Sony E, bundled with Hoya 72mm UV and CPL Filters. This versatile lens offers an ultra-wide 20mm to mid-telephoto 70mm zoom range, making it an ideal choice for capturing a broad spectrum of subjects in both stills and movies. The lens boasts an impressive G Lens image quality, delivering corner-to-corner high resolution across all focal lengths. Its advanced lens design, featuring two AA (advanced aspherical) elements, one aspherical element, three ED (Extra-low Dispersion) glass elements, and one ED aspherical element, effectively corrects chromatic and spherical aberration. This ensures high optical performance right out to the image edges, from ultra-wide 20mm to 70mm.Experience peak AF performance with two XD Linear Motors, ensuring precise, fast, and quiet focus drive. These motors provide up to 60% higher AF speed and up to two times better performance while tracking, ensuring reliable and precise tracking of moving subjects when shooting continuous stills at up to 30 fps, or up to 4K 120p with alpha compatible cameras. The lens also offers refined movie imagery with minimized focus breathing and focus/axial shift while zooming. This advanced technology reduces distracting image shifts and dramatically reduces noise and vibration when shooting movies, thanks to the XD Linear Motors and a newly developed aperture unit.Despite its advanced features, the lens maintains a compact, lightweight design. When used with a compact mirrorless camera, it delivers superb image quality at focal lengths from ultra-wide to short telephoto, making it a great choice for a highly mobile and lightweight setup. The lens also offers excellent close-up performance of 9.8" (25cm) throughout the zoom range, whether you're using AF or manual focus. The constant F4 maximum aperture throughout the zoom range offers greater flexibility in choosing apertures at any focal length, allowing for high shutter speeds to achieve the desired effect without the need for extreme ISO settings. The lens also features a circular aperture with a 9-blade iris for naturally rendered bokeh, enhancing the deep, soft bokeh available with full-frame image sensors. This, along with optimally tuned spherical aberration, supports the creation of impressive, memorable imagery. The lens also supports Active Mode image stabilization in a series cameras, providing excellent image stabilization performance while maintaining a wide angle of view at the ultra-wide 20mm end of the zoom range.Additional features include a dedicated aperture ring, click/de-click and iris lock switches for direct, rapid control, customizable focus hold buttons, and an AF/MF switch for instant auto/manual focus selection. The front lens element features a fluorine coating that repels water, oil, and other contaminants, while the dust and moisture resistant design provides extra reliability for outdoor use in challenging conditions. The lens accepts standard 72mm screw-on filters for expanded creative freedom, and comes with a petal-shaped, bayonet mount lens hood.
