What Our Gearhead® Experts Are Saying:"I’ve worn a lot of hiking socks over the years, but these really stand out—super cushy underfoot, and I love that they’re made using recycled fibers from Smartwool’s own sock take-back program. They feel great in boots and hold up over long, rugged days on the trail."When we head out for long miles on rugged trails, we want socks that pull their weight. That’s why we reach for the Hike Classic Edition Extra Cushion Second Cut Crew Socks from Smartwool. They provide generous padding underfoot, reliable breathability, and the kind of durability we can count on season after season. These socks feature Smartwool’s innovative 2nd Cut™ yarn—crafted using recycled fibers from used socks and combined with virgin Merino wool for a fresh start. With a flat-knit toe seam and extra cushioning throughout, they keep blisters at bay and comfort levels high, whether we’re hiking, backpacking, or breaking in a new pair of boots.
