The Sigma 30mm F1.4 DC DN Contemporary Lens for Leica L is a high-performance, large-aperture standard lens from the renowned Contemporary line. This lens provides mirrorless camera owners the unique opportunity to explore the joy of shooting with F1.4 brightness, creating stunning bokeh effects and delivering exceptionally sharp optical performance typical of a superior prime lens. This lens is designed with Sigma's latest technologies and design insights, striking an optimal balance between varied elements. With a focal length of around 50mm and F1.4 brightness, this lens offers an angle of view closely resembling human vision. This allows photographers to capture breathtaking portraits, tabletop still life shots, landscapes, or snapshots by manipulating the depth of field. The Sigma 30mm F1.4 DC DN Contemporary Lens is part of Sigma's high-performance Contemporary line, featuring the latest technologies for optimal balance with light, compact camera bodies. The lens is designed to be extremely compact, with a special focus lens group design that allows for fast and smooth autofocus performance, making it ideal for videography and more. The lens incorporates high-refractive index, high-dispersion glass in the front lens element for extra power and a shorter overall lens length. Two aspherical lens elements optimize the lens for mirrorless cameras, ensuring outstanding image quality and overall compactness. The lens also features Sigma's inner focus technologies, providing outstanding stability whether shooting handheld or with the camera placed on a surface. The Sigma 30mm F1.4 DC DN Contemporary Lens uses Thermally Stable Composite (TSC) for a more compact structure and enhanced performance. TSC exhibits minimal deformation, ensuring parts made of TSC are less prone to develop gaps over time, enhancing lens performance. This lens delivers image quality that rivals that of Sigma's Art line lenses. It incorporates one aspherical lens element and one double aspherical lens element, as well as an element made of high-refractive index, high-dispersion glass with high anomalous partial dispersion. This lens also takes advantage of the image correction capabilities of the mirrorless camera body, using the corrective power of the optical system to enhance sharpness. The lens design process measures flare and ghosting from an early stage, establishing an optical design resistant to strong incident light sources such as backlighting. Sigma's Super Multi-Layer Coating reduces flare and ghosting, helping photographers produce sharp and high contrast images even in backlit conditions. The lens incorporates a stepping motor, offering exceptionally quick and quiet autofocusing performance, especially useful when using the camera to take videos. The lens also features a 9-blade rounded diaphragm, creating an attractive blur in the out-of-focus areas of the image. The Sigma 30mm F1.4 DC DN Contemporary Lens for Leica L is setting new benchmarks for image quality with Sigma's own MTF measuring system: A1. All Sigma 30mm F1.4 DC DN Contemporary lenses are checked using this A1 system before they are shipped, ensuring the capture of full and complete color. In summary, the Sigma 30mm F1.4 DC DN Contemporary Lens for Leica L is an unprecedented lens that combines outstanding optical performance with exceptional portability and usability, making it an essential tool for any photographer..
