What Our Gearhead® Experts Are Saying:"I love how the Firn rides close to the body with its vest-style fit—no bouncing, even when I’m scrambling or skiing fast. The ski lasso system is genius; I can stash my skis without stopping, and the on-body crampon pocket saves time during transitions. It feels dialed for quick missions when efficiency matters."We reach for the Osprey Firn 18L Backpack when our days are packed with quick ascents, technical ridgelines, and pre-dawn laps before work. Osprey designed the Firn with input from athletes who move fast in the mountains, and it shows—every detail is crafted to make transitions seamless and movement effortless. The vest-style harness hugs close to the body with pockets for food, a soft flask, or a GPS device, so we stay fueled and connected without breaking stride. Its innovative ski lasso system lets us stash skis without taking the pack off, while the on-body crampon pocket and avalanche tool organization keep safety gear exactly where we need it. Built with recycled, bluesign®-approved materials and a snow-shedding backpanel, this lightweight pack stays durable and efficient season after season.
